IMSP submitted to OVCRE on 15 February 2013 its plan to conduct five (5) short courses and training programs for summer 2013. They are:

a. Seminar Workshop for Teachers on Misconceptions and Assessment of Physics Concepts, 15-17 April 2013

b. VISSER Module Development and Evaluation Workshop, 16-19 April 2013

c. Seminar Workshop on Strengthening the Classroom Approach in Teaching High School Mathematics, 15-17 April 2013

d. Astronomy Training Workshop for Science Educators, 15-17 May 2013

e. Research Summer School in Algebraic Combinatorics, 20-23 May 2013

These activities are consistent with IMSP's mandate to develop, administer, and provide non-formal training in the field of mathematical sciences and physics. This year's workshops aim to provide mathematics and physics educators and students with the technical background and experience in astronomy, instrumentation and module development, teaching strategies in physics and mathematics, and research in algebraic combinatorics. The research school in algebraic combinatorics is a project under the COE funded CHED-IMSP Research Program for Excellence in Mathematics.
